Three Player Chess is very much born out of the traditional two player chess game.

It does not seek however to be a mathematically similar to the traditional two player game rather for the piece movements to be exactly the same. In fact the only different thing is that, firstly, three players can play and secondly there are two basic rules to remember when moving around the middle six squares.
